I am a Kansas City native and have put together a list of some of the best micro event spaces around town. These all vary in price and style TREMENDOUSLY. I want this blog post to be beneficial for everyone. You’ll see more traditional looking spaces and more eclectic spaces, luxurious and inexpensive options.

The Elizabeth loft is located in Downtown Kansas City. This space has a maximum occupancy of 50, perfect for your micro wedding or reception post elopement! This venue offers a small rooftop to see KC. Has 6 farmhouse tables and 50 chairs provided for you. Limited parking in a lot behind the building, but free street parking is what you will have to resort to most likely.

Located in the Crossroads District; No Vacancy is a guesthouse that is funky and eclectic. This “hotel” is anything but traditional, you have many options when booking with. Overnight room, you can choose any 1 out of their 8 options, with all different decorations and vibes. Rent hourly for your reception and cocktail hour in their courtyard. Or book out the whole hotel, sleeps 17 and 50 in the courtyard.
3. The Vintage House

The Vintage House is located in downtown Overland Park. Maximum occupancy 20 people indoors, 50 outside. This house reminds me of your grandma’s house, but in a very good way! The decor is farmhouse inspired, and it truly feels like you are in the country, while it’s actually located in a neighborhood. A pro of being in Overland Park, there is a large parking lot around the corner from the space. They provide a day of coordinator, and allow you to book in 5 hour increments.
4. The Vow Exchange

In the Crossroads District tucked away is this intimate ceremony venue. The Vow Exchange holds up to 50 people sitting. The rental price includes seating and decorations, so all you need to do is show up! They also have their own parking lot, which is gold in downtown KC!
5. Loose Park

Located in Downtown KC, this is one of the largest parks in the area (and most beautiful)! Fully equipped with a gorgeous rose garden, the best time to get those roses is late summer! You can reserve a shelter space, or choose any other amenity the park has, such as a lake, beautiful trees in the fall. Shelter spaces are $100 on weekdays and $125 on weekends and holidays.

7. Nelson Atkins Museum

The Nelson is a staple of Kansas City. From rotating sets inside, to beautiful and timeless sculptures in the courtyard, it has everything you’re looking for. The Nelson is very particular about when you can exchange vows, and allows a maximum of 25 people in your party.
